Alec, nickname ‘Spotty’, Communications – Radioman, highest rank Chief Radioman. Served 6 Feb 1947 to 5 Feb 1967. Ships: TAUPO, ROTOITI, HAWEA, BELLONA, ENDEAVOUR, ROYALIST. Shore establishments; TAMAKI, PHILOMEL, IRIRANGI, HMAS CERBERUS. Served in Korea, Near East – Egyptian Coast (during Suez Crisis), Indonesian Confrontation.
